DATA CENTER

Northeast Louisiana has emerged as a prime location for the next generation of technology. With its strategic location, abundant land, and access to reliable energy sources, the region offers unparalleled opportunities for tech infrastructure and business growth. As the demand for data storage and processing continues to soar, Northeast Louisiana is ready to play a key role in this expanding industry.

On December 4, 2024, Meta announced plans to build a $10 Billion data center in Richland Parish.  At completion, this will be the largest Meta data center in the world.  The project will employ 5,000 workers during the five-year construction phase, and will have over 500 full-time employees when fully operational.  Additionally, Entergy Louisiana will be investing $3 Billion in a new generation facility to support data center growth in Northeast Louisiana.

Meta’s $10 Billion data center will create unprecedented opportunities for residents and businesses in Northeast Louisiana, and throughout the State of Louisiana.  NELADataCenter.com is your one-stop source to submit questions, and to see answers to previous questions about the opportunities available to residents, businesses and job seekers.
