With more than 20 years of banking experience, he specializes in commercial lending, commercial real estate, hospitality, aviation, recreational property, and derivative financing. Palmer is recognized for building lasting client relationships and delivering strategic financial solutions that support business growth, capital investment, and economic development.
Prior to his banking career, Palmer served as a commercial airline captain with Continental Airlines. His aviation experience instilled a strong foundation in leadership, risk management, and disciplined decision-making, qualities that continue to shape his approach to serving clients and helping them navigate complex financial opportunities.
A graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe and the Louisiana Tech School of Banking, Palmer has a longstanding commitment to civic leadership and community involvement. He has served as president of the Monroe Youth Baseball Association, Bayou DeSiard Country Club, and Ducks Unlimited, and currently serves as president of the Neville High School Baseball Boosters.
